Former Attorney General of the United Kingdom and current Conservative Party MP Geoffrey Cox received £93,000 for legal services to the Luxembourg-based company ABH Holdings S.A. In the Register of Financial Interests, he stated that since December 2025 he has worked 62 hours for the firm.

This was reported by Politico.

Among the company's shareholders are russian oligarchs Mikhail Fridman and Pyotr Aven, who have been under UK sanctions since 2022 due to their ties to the Kremlin and their significant role in russia's financial sector.

The company is considered to operate in a sector of financial services that is of strategic importance to the russian authorities. The details of Cox's legal consultations have not been disclosed, and it is unknown whether they are connected to Fridman's lawsuits against European governments.

This is not the first time Cox has faced criticism for combining his parliamentary duties with high-paid legal practice. He has previously worked on international cases, including representing the government of the British Virgin Islands in a corruption case.
