According to Yle, as reported by European Pravda, this was announced by the ministry's press service.

Defence Minister Antti Hakkanen rejected 11 requests for agreements on the purchase of real estate by foreigners from third countries – russia, Israel, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The real estate in question was of various types – residential and summer houses and business premises.

‘Real estate is one of the ways to exert hybrid influence. Therefore, we reject real estate purchase agreements that, in our assessment, may threaten national security and security of supply and potentially complicate the organisation of national defence,’ the minister said.

The requirement for non-EU citizens to obtain approval for real estate purchases in Finland came into force in the summer.
