According to a report by the ‘European Pravda’ correspondent in Brussels, this was stated by Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó on the sidelines of the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting.
Hungary will not agree to a €90 billion loan for Ukraine until the transit of russian oil via the Druzhba pipeline is resumed.
“It’s very simple. As long as we are under an oil blockade, we are not going to agree to this decision,” Szijjártó said.
He noted that Ukrainians are mocking Hungarians and “are not resuming oil transit for political reasons”.
While this situation persists, according to Szijjártó, there can be no discussion of a vote on the €90 billion for Ukraine, “nor a vote on any other financial support for Ukraine, nor the 20th package of sanctions”.
“The Druzhba oil pipeline is physically and technically ready to resume transport. There are no technical problems,” emphasised Szijjártó.
