This was announced by the company and the Finnish Ministry of Economy and Employment, Reuters reports, as quoted by European Pravda.

According to Teboil, the company has 430 petrol stations in Finland, which is about one-fifth of the 2,250 stations in this Scandinavian country.

‘The petrol stations will be closed in stages after fuel stocks are depleted,’ Teboil said in a statement.

The company did not specify the timing.

"Fuel supplies in Finland are not at risk, as Teboil does not process fuel in Finland, but mainly distributes fuel from Neste's Finnish refinery," the Finnish Ministry of Economy and Employment said in an email to the agency, adding that customers can switch to other retailers.

Teboil is the first international company owned by Lukoil to announce its closure due to sanctions.
