This was announced by Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budris.

“The Kremlin’s war against Ukraine continues thanks to powerful interests that continue to benefit from and support russian aggression. When two influential russian oligarchs were removed from the EU sanctions list, it sent the wrong signal,” he wrote on X.

Budrys emphasised that Lithuania is taking action and has no intention of turning a blind eye to this.

“Today we have frozen the assets of Mikhail Fridman and Alisher Usmanov under our national sanctions regime. Sanctions pressure on russia and those aiding its war must be stepped up and continue,” the minister wrote.
