According to ‘European Pravda’, Moldova’s Minister of Energy, Dorin Junghiu, made this statement in a comment to NewsMaker.
These funds will be used to cover the costs associated with repair work on the section of the “Isaccea–Vulcanesti” power line, which was damaged as a result of drone attacks on 23 March.
“We have received an invoice from our colleagues at Ukrenergo. The costs amount to – I cannot give the exact figure at the moment – around 20,000 euros, which is equivalent to approximately 500,000 lei,” the minister said.
According to him, the Moldovan authorities will send the bill to the russian federation via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: “They attacked the line; they damaged our infrastructure.”
In the meantime, as Junghiu noted, the state-owned company Moldelectrica will allocate the necessary amount from its budget.
‘And in the future, we will see how this amount will be reimbursed,’ he added.
