Information about 41 enterprises that are part of or managed by the russian concern Uralvagonzavod was published on the War&Sanctions portal of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. According to Ukrainian intelligence, 23 of them are not subject to sanctions.

According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, Uralvagonzavod is an armoured vehicle holding company of the russian state corporation Rostec. It plays a key role in supplying the russian military with armoured vehicles.

The concern's enterprises manufacture and modernise T-72B3M, T-80BVM, T-90M, T-90MS ‘Proryv’ tanks, TOS-1A ‘Solntsepek’ heavy flamethrower systems, tank support combat vehicles (BMPT) and armoured repair and evacuation vehicles (BREM).

In addition, the concern manufactures railway carriages for the transport of personnel and military equipment on behalf of the russian Ministry of Defence.

The GUR noted that since 2022, Uralvagonzavod's enterprises have significantly reduced the production of civilian carriages in favour of fulfilling state defence orders.

‘Despite the strategic importance of the holding company for waging war against Ukraine, 23 enterprises of the concern are still not subject to sanctions by any of the countries in the sanctions coalition,’ the statement said.

Among them, the GUR adds, is the design bureau that developed railway platforms for transporting russian tanks to the combat zone. Also included are manufacturers of training stands and simulators for armoured vehicle crews. There are also enterprises that provide the concern's main production activities with resources, equipment and related services.

Earlier, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine published data on the War&Sanctions portal on 145 enterprises that are part of or under the control of the Technodinamika holding company of the russian state corporation Rostec. According to Ukrainian intelligence, 86 of the enterprises remain outside the sanctions of the sanctions coalition countries.
