30 paintings confiscated from Usmanov

Investigators of the German Federal Criminal Police Office have confiscated 30 paintings worth around 5 million euros after searching the yacht Dilibar belonging to the sanctioned Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov.

The confiscation took place within an investigation of alleged tax evasion by Usmanov.

Since the criminal proceedings concern the oligarch's acts preceding the full-scale war, the transfer of the collected assets to Ukraine is not considered, all the more so the proper mechenism for such a transfer has not yet been developed in Germany.
