Minister Tomasz Semoniak confirmed this information on Thursday. “This matter is deeply shocking,” he said.

According to ‘Radio Zet’, a state-owned company in PoznaƄ supplied components for Iranian Shahed 136 drones. These drones are being used by the russians to carry out strikes on Ukraine. According to the radio station, the Iranian drones were fitted with pumps manufactured by a company owned by the Industrial Development Agency.

“An investigation is underway into breaches of legislation on the export of arms and technology,” Semoniak stated at a press conference. He added that the case had been uncovered by the Internal Security Agency and was “absolutely shocking”.

Minister Semonyak assured that the public prosecutor’s office would conduct investigative proceedings in this case, bring charges and provide updates on the progress of the investigation.

He also noted that the government is working intensively to strengthen the sanctions regime. “In recent years, this system has been very weak, contrary to the rhetoric, and the National Tax Administration, in cooperation with other agencies, has been carrying out intensive measures for several months now to ensure that sanctions and embargoes are not circumvented,” emphasised Semonyak.
