Since February 2022, Ukraine has imposed more than 15,000 sanctions against russia

This was stated by Serhiy Naumyuk, Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, at a conference on expanding sanctions against Russia, ‘Fair play: honest game,’ according to a correspondent for Ukrinform.

"The SBU constantly initiates sanctions against individuals and legal entities involved in military production. Since February 2022, Ukraine has imposed more than 15,000 sanctions against the Russian Federation. 94% of these sanctions were adopted at the request of the SBU. Of these, more than 3,000 entities subject to sanctions are directly involved in the work of the Russian military-industrial complex. These are manufacturers of equipment and ammunition, missile developers, enterprises whose products are included in the production chains of military goods, importers, etc.," Naumyuk said.

He added that since the start of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has coordinated more than 2,000 sanctions against Russia with its foreign partners.

‘As a result of cooperation with other countries, we have blocked the supply of 253,000 servo motors that were planned to be delivered to Iran for installation on Shahed-136 UAVs. This has reduced the number of drones manufactured by about 60,000 units,’ Naumyuk said.

According to him, among the Russian companies subject to sanctions are the state-owned machine-building design bureau Raduga, the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol, the state corporation Rostec, the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation, and others.

‘As a result of the sanctions policy, Russian defence industry enterprises are experiencing problems with logistics, rising costs of raw materials and components, and a general deterioration in product quality. All this affects its military capabilities,’ Naumyuk said.

He also mentioned SBU operations that undermine the enemy's military capabilities, such as Operation Spider Web, during which 41 enemy combat aircraft were destroyed, the destruction of the Crimean bridge, and the constant use of Sea Baby drones in the Black Sea against the enemy's fleet.

"The SBU's sanctions-based strikes on oil refineries, military-industrial complex facilities in the enemy's rear, and its arsenals and warehouses, as was the case in Toropets, are having a significant impact on the combat capabilities of the Russian forces. There, we destroyed an enemy stockpile of 120 mines worth more than $5 billion, which significantly reduced the enemy's supply of ammunition to the front. We will definitely continue this line of work," Naumyuk said.
