This was reported by the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to European Pravda.
Thus, sanctions against Belarus, imposed due to internal repression, support for russia in the war against Ukraine, and hybrid attacks against EU countries, remain in force until 28 February 2027, with the possibility of extension.
Currently, 312 Belarusian citizens and 57 organisations are subject to sanctions. Their assets in the European Union are frozen, EU citizens and companies are prohibited from conducting financial transactions with them, and persons subject to sanctions are prohibited from entering the bloc.
The restrictions against Minsk target the financial, trade, energy, transport and other sectors of the economy, and focus on reducing the regime's revenues and preventing the circumvention of sanctions.
