This is stated in a declaration by the Council of the European Union.

The sanctions apply to more than 3,000 individuals and legal entities and include travel restrictions for individuals, the freezing of assets and a ban on the provision of funds or other economic resources to the listed individuals and legal entities.

The Council of the EU has decided not to extend the restrictions on three individuals and one organisation on the sanctions list, and to remove three deceased individuals from it.

“The EU remains determined to step up pressure on russia and to continue undermining its war economy, so that it ceases its brutal war of aggression against Ukraine and enters into meaningful peace negotiations,” the statement reads.

The Council of the EU has removed the following from the sanctions list:

Alisher Usmanov;

Mikhail Friedman;

Andriy Falaleev — former rector of the occupied Vernadsky University of Crimea;

Redbird Corporate Services Ltd — a company registered in Mauritius which provides corporate and trust services. The company is the registered agent of Sapang Shipping Inc, which in turn is the registered owner and operator of the crude oil tanker ARGENT.
