The International Boxing Federation has lifted sanctions against russia

This has been reported by the organisation’s press office.

This means that boxers representing russia will be able to take part in all tournaments organised under the auspices of World Boxing with full rights – including the national anthem, flag and other state symbols.

World Boxing has thus become the second global boxing organisation to lift all sanctions against russia. The IBA had previously taken a similar decision.

It should be recalled that at the end of April, World Boxing admitted russian and Belarusian boxers under neutral status. The organisation was founded in 2023 as an alternative to the International Boxing Association (IBA).
