The US has extended sanctions against russia for another year

This is stated in a report on the US Federal Register website.

US President Donald Trump has extended the economic state of emergency regarding russia, introduced by Executive Order 13660 of 2014, for another year.

This order was the US's response to russia's occupation of Crimea and gives the power to impose sanctions on people and organizations responsible for violating Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity or for misappropriating Ukraine's assets.

The state of emergency was also supplemented with additional sanctions in 2016, 2018, and 2022.
