According to ‘European Pravda’, this was reported by the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
It is noted that US sanctions have been lifted from the container ships Fesco Moneron and Fesco Magadan, and the cargo ship Sv Nikolay. The latter, according to the War Sanctions resource of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence, was involved in the export of stolen Ukrainian grain.
It is noted that the vessel Sv Nikolay repeatedly called at ports in the occupied Ukrainian territories, from where it transported agricultural products to Turkey.
It later emerged that the russian vessel SV NIKOLAY, from which the US had lifted sanctions, is linked to the family of Putin’s mistress, Alina Kabaeva.
This is reported by the russian media outlet ‘Vazhnye Istorii’.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence also reports that this vessel is involved in the export of stolen grain from the occupied Ukrainian territories. In 2022, investigators from Reuters and PBS used satellite imagery to establish that russia was using it to transport grain from Sevastopol for sale to Turkish companies.
In 2025, British analysts from the Open Source Centre and Ukrainian journalists from the Kyiv Independent established that the SV NIKOLAY was transporting metallurgical coke from occupied Mariupol to Algeria. However, the shipping documents listed the cargo as originating from russia’s Krasnodar Krai and destined for Turkey.
The metallurgical coke was supplied by the Hong Kong-registered company Green Rabbit. The same company is involved in the export of coal and wheat from the occupied east of Ukraine. In 2024, ‘Important Stories’ established that this company is run by Muslim Temerkayev — an adviser to Marat Kabayev, the father of Alina Kabayeva.
Temerkayev works for Kabayev at the International Assembly of Islamic Business. Through this organisation, Putin’s de facto father-in-law planned to invest in the economy of the ‘DPR’.
