According to Ukrinform, this has been reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation, following the start of russia’s full-scale invasion, the suspect – the director and beneficial owner of a company in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast specialising in the manufacture of power distribution and control equipment for the mining industry – did not cease cooperation with the russian market, but merely altered the logistics.
Until 2022, the company carried out direct deliveries of products to the russian federation. Following the introduction of export restrictions, the director organised a scheme to circumvent them via a third country. To this end, a contract was concluded with a company registered in one of the CIS countries, which acted as a transit link.
Subsequently, the Ukrainian-manufactured products were sent to an affiliated company within russia, where they were used in the production of electrical systems. The end users included, in particular, companies subject to sanctions whose activities are directly linked to threats to Ukraine’s national security.
Between 2023 and 2025, the suspect organised the supply of over 100 units of electrical equipment with a total value of over 11.5 million UAH. He maintained communication with representatives of the aggressor state via messaging apps, coordinating the supply of goods.
The man has been detained. Under the procedural supervision of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, he has been notified of suspicion of aiding the aggressor state (Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
A preventive measure in the form of detention without bail has been imposed on the suspect.
