This was reported by Bloomberg.

The Turkish state-owned company Botas is in talks with russian gas giant Gazprom regarding the renewal of import contracts, said Turkey’s Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar. The potential volumes and duration of the agreements have not yet been agreed, he said.

In December, Ankara extended two contracts with Gazprom for gas supplies via the TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines.

Turkey is the company’s second-largest market after China, following Gazprom’s loss of most of its European customers after russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
