This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

She noted that special permits for the exploitation of the Malyshevskyi field in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as the Valky-Hatskivskyi and Mezhyrichne fields in the Zhytomyr region, have been returned to the state. The decision was taken in light of the sanctions imposed on the ultimate beneficial owner, Dmytro Firtash.

The government has included these fields in the list of subsoil plots for which special permits will henceforth be granted through open auctions. This creates conditions for attracting investors and developing production on a competitive and transparent basis.

Svyrydenko noted that the next stage is expected to see business activity regarding the acquisition of subsoil use rights through electronic auctions.

In parallel, the State Service of Geology and Subsoil is conducting an audit of so-called dormant special permits for strategic minerals. A total of 38 permits are being reviewed, and the results of the audit will be published shortly.
