Leonid Babashov is a member of the Russian State Duma from Crimea. He is sanctioned by 27 countries for supporting Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

On March 9, 2023, the High Anti-Corruption Court opened proceedings in the case of sanction confiscation.

On the same day, the court considered the Ministry of Justice's motion to secure the claim. However, the HACC ruling denied the motion. This is one of the few cases when the HACCU has refused to grant interim relief. One of the panel's judges expressed a dissenting opinion in which he disagreed with the denial of the motion.

It is proposed to confiscate a land plot, a residential building and non-residential premises, as well as shares in the authorized capital of companies.

The case is scheduled for consideration on March 24, 2023 at 15 hours.
