This is evidenced by new data from Strider Technologies on the scale of this trade, provided to Politico, reports “European Pravda”.

The company’s researchers warn that New Delhi’s recent trade agreements with the UK and the EU pose a risk that exports of sensitive and dual-use goods will continue to find their way into russia-linked industrial supply chains on the subcontinent.

It is reported that researchers at Strider Technologies have tracked 50,000 units of controlled or sensitive goods from third countries that were routed to russia via India following the start of russia’s full-scale invasion.

The company analysed customs data using globally standardised commodity codes to identify European-manufactured products that were subsequently exported from India to russia, revealing the scale of this trade for the first time.

The goods included electronics, machinery, precision instruments, transport equipment, metals and advanced electrical components.

The researchers’ data, it is noted, shows a sharp increase in exports from India to russia of sensitive or dual-use goods originating from the UK (+180 per cent), Switzerland (+131 per cent), Sweden (+455 per cent) and France (+98 per cent), between the start of the invasion and the beginning of 2025, compared with the three years preceding Moscow’s attack.

The data also shows that the volume of exports of goods of German origin remains substantial, although trade volumes are declining.
